Certificate Course: Narrative Care - Part 1 & 2

Pre-reading

In order to prepare yourself for this course, the following needs to be done in advance:

  • You have to register for this course at least one month prior to the course date.
  • Your course fees needs to be paid at least two weeks prior to the course date. You will be invoiced by the AINC with receipt of your registration form.

Part 1 - Theme: A Distressing Storied-Narrative

This part of the course will be presented in 10 modules in one day. Each module will consist of a focused lecture plus a practical discussion / exercise.

  • Module 1: Please read chapter 1, point 1.1 and 1.2 and chapter 2 of the following document: "Stress Therapy" (see link at the bottom of our home page). This work needs to be done before you turn up for the course. This module will be free of charge (1 h).
  • Module 2: Practical discussion and exercises. This module will also be free of charge (1 h).
  • Module 3: The Profile of our Mother-environment (1 h).
  • Module 4: Practtical discussion and exercises (1 h).
  • Module 5: The Autonomic Stage of a Compromised Narrative (1 h).
  • Module 6: Practical discussion and exercises (1 h).
  • Module 7: The Cognitive Stage of a Compromised Storied-Narrative (1 h).
  • Module 8: Practical discussion and exercises (1 h).
  • Module 9: The Behaviour-output Stage of a compromised Storied-Narrative (1h).
  • Module 10: Practical discussion and exercises (1h).

Part 2 - Theme: A Wholeness-enhancing Storied-Narrative

This part of the course will also be presented in 10 modules, but on a second day. Each module will consist of a focused lecture plus a practical discussion / exercise.

  • Module 1: Please read chapter 4 of the following document: "Stress Therapy" (see link at the bottom of our home page). This work needs to be done before you turn up for the course. This model will be free of charge (1 h).
  • Module 2: Practical discussion and exercises. This model will also be free of charge (1 h).
  • Module 3: The Autonomic Stage of a Reformed Narrative (1 h).
  • Module 4: Practical discussion and exercises (1 h).
  • Module 5: The Cognitive Stage of a Reformed Storied-Narrative (1 h).
  • Module 6: Practical discussion and exercises (1 h).
  • Module 7: The Behaviour-output Stage of a Reformed Storied-Narrative (1h).
  • Module 8: Practical discussion and exercises (1h).
  • Module 9: Developing sustainable resilience through Narrative Care as a Therapeutic Approach (1 h).
  • Module 10: Practical discussion and exercises (1 h).
